Haven’t posted in a few weeks. Apologies if you’ve been dying to hear from me. The Oscars are tonight. I have plenty of opinions on the whole shebang, and I’ll likely have more in a few hours. For now, you can see my predictions along with essays on a few of the major categories at Metroland.

There’s no point in live-blogging this year’s Grammy ceremony, because it’s not really a ceremony. This year’s telecast looks to have about five or six awards presentations, and about 1,000 performances. Which should be a nice change, though I doubt the shift will help the show come in under its alloted time. As of now (7 PM EST, Sunday, Feb. 8) a majority of the awards have already been presented, so now’s a good time to look back at the awards I publicly predicted and see how I’m matching up so far.
